What’s included

Roundtrip Airfare
We include roundtrip airfare with reputable airlines to and from group's departure city.

Travel insurance
Live ‘n Learn will provide all participants with travel medical insurance up to $100,000 with NO deductible. See more information about medical insurance here.

Airport pick-up and drop-off
Upon arrival you will meet your Live ‘n Learn Program Director, who will accompany your group to the hotel.

6 nights in 3* or 4* hotels
We guarantee a pleasant and clean stay at a safe and centrally-located hotel. Students will share a room with one to three other travelers of the same gender.

All meals during tour and homestay.
Students will eat authentic and delicious food and try the local dishes in each city they visit.

7-night homestay with a Spanish family
Participants will live with a family that has kids approximately their same age. They should bring spending money in case they choose to eat at a restaurant, do activities outside the house or go shopping.

24 hr/day Live ‘n Learn Program Director and emergency contact
Your Program Director will be traveling and staying with you at all times, except during free time, in which case they will be in the area and accessible by phone.

Additional guides in some cities during tour
We hire specialized guides in some cities in order to get more in-depth information from a local expert.

All entrance fees
Your Live ‘n Learn Program Director will be in charge of paying for and picking up all tickets in order to minimize wait time and ensure that things run smoothly.

Transportation during tour
Your group will travel around by motorcoach, trains, busses and subway and all tickets are included. Depending on the size of your group, you may be travelling with other school groups.

Pre-departure preparation materials
Live ‘n Learn will provide teachers with packets on the Spanish language, customs and culture and other useful information to be reviewed with students before departure.

What's not included

Spending money
Spending money is recommended for free time and shopping.

Tips for bus drivers, tour guides and directors will be $5 a day during the travel portion of the trip ($35). Cash must be submitted to Group Leader before departure.

Payment Plan Options

1. Automatic Payment Plan
After your initial online deposit we will divide your total program balance into monthly installments and automatically process your payments each month through Pay Simple, our secure online payment system. We will use the account information from your deposit and payments will be deducted from your bank account each month. Program must be paid in full 45 days before departure. 2. Manual Payment Plan
After your initial online deposit you must submit a payment of $500 before November 15. Full payment must be made 90 days before departure. All payments must be paid in the form of an E-check via our website. Checks or money orders may be used upon request. Make online payments here.

LATE AND MISSING PAYMENTS (Manual Payment Plan only)

There will be a $50 late fee for failure to submit $500 payment by November 15 and a $150 late fee for failure to pay in full by the deadline. Live ‘n Learn reserves the right to cancel individual participant's registration if full payment is not received 60 days prior to the trip . Cancellation fees will apply.


Participant or participant’s parent/guardian must submit cancellation request to Live ‘n Learn in writing by email to Please clearly indicate participant’s name, school and program name.  


Live ‘n Learn may cancel a participant due to lack of payment or failure to abide by teacher’s rules/standards. Cancellation fees will be assessed in these cases.


Based on availability, cancelled participants may re-enroll by submitting any missing payments plus a $50 fee and any applicable changes in airline costs. Payment must be made by cashier’s check or money order.


Cancellation insurance may be purchased from to cover any unforeseen event before travel date and in such case a full or partial refund will be provided. It also provides you with full or partial refunds to travel delay, baggage delay and trip interruption. See more policy details here.
Day 1: Fly to Barcelona!

Day 2:¡Bienvenidos a Barcelona! Spend the day walking about the narrow cobblestone streets of the Gothic Quarter and relax at Barceloneta Beach.

Day 3: Journey to Montjüic on an e-bike tour and enjoy spectacular views of the city. Then delve into the history of Barcelona’s esteemed football club while touring their impressive stadium Camp Nou.  

Day 4: Visit Antoni Gaudi’s architectural masterpieces, the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell, and watch the magic fountain light show at night.  

Day 5: Take a high-speed train to Córdoba and discover a completely different Spain. Learn about the Roman, Moorish and Catholic history as you explore the Mezquita and stroll through the courtyards of the city.  

Day 6: Travel to nearby Sevilla and relive the history and culture of Spain’s fascinating past in the beautiful Old Town. Visit the immense Gothic cathedral and other important monuments.   

Day 7: Head to Jaén, the land of olive groves that makes Spain the biggest producer of olive oil in the world. Buy ingredients at a traditional market and attend a cooking class by renowned chefs to learn how to make (and eat) traditional comida española.   

Day 8: Visit a local olive oil producer to taste and learn about Spanish oil. After lunch, head north to Madrid and begin your homestay with a familia española.    

 Day 9-14-: Day 9-14: Enjoy the authentic experience of living like a Spanish teenager as your family welcomes you into their home while showing you Madrid and the Spanish way of life.

Day 15:¡Adios España! Fly back to the U.S.!
