Kelsey Brown

Local Coordinator, Atlanta

I grew up in upstate New York. I graduated from Newark HS in 2005 and went to college in North Carolina on a soccer and lacrosse scholarship. I spent a semester at la Universidad de Cuenca, Ecuador and graduated in 2009 with my BA in elementary education and Spanish language. I graduated in 2010 with my MA in special education.

I began teaching career at la Universidad de Santiago, Chile as an English professor. I returned to the States in 2011 and began teaching English as a Second Language in Durham, NC. I began teaching 3rd grade in the school’s Dual Immersion program the following year. In 2014, I moved to Denver, Colorado where I began teaching High School Spanish. Just this past summer, I moved to Atlanta to begin a new career teaching Spanish at The Epstein School.

I have worked as the Denver Local Coordinator since 2017 and now I’m excited to bring the same program to Atlanta. I truly enjoy working with Live N Learn as it gives students (both Spanish and American) an authentic lens into the lives of another culture. I love watching students develop and maintain relationships long after the host experience has ended. I am excited for another great summer (this time in Atlanta) of making connections that will last a lifetime!
