Travel Medical Insurance through GeoBlue
Live N Learn provides participants with a comprehensive insurance policy that covers up to $100,000 and has no deductible. The plan is called Voyager Choice Travel Medical Insurance and is underwritten by Global Citizens Association and administered by GeoBlue. The policy takes effect the day the program begins once the participant is outside of the U.S. and coverage terminates upon arrival in the U.S. or on the day the program is scheduled to end. Please refer to the GeoBlue brochure for more details. Students are required to pay medical costs upfront and will have to file a claim for reimbursements upon their return to the United States. In the case of a major incident, coverage will be pre-approved with the insurance company and costs will not need to be paid upfront.
Optional Cancellation Insurance through Trawick International
Cancellation insurance is available for purchase at the time of enrollment to safeguard against unforeseen circumstances both preceding and during travel. Should a cancellation occur before the trip, the insurance company will offer either a full or 75% refund, contingent upon the cause and the specifics of the insurance policy purchased. Please note that the cost of the insurance itself is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. Additionally, the Cancellation Insurance offers supplementary coverage and entitles you to full or partial refunds for travel delays, baggage delays, and trip interruptions. For those groups whose registration deadline is less than 365 days prior to departure, they will be enrolled in the Safe Travels Flex policy underwritten by Trawick International. For those groups whose registration deadline is more than 365 days prior to departure, they will be enrolled in the Safe Travels Voyager policy underwritten by Trawick International. This policy includes supplemental medical coverage.
