Discover the south of Spain and all of its rich cultural history in Granada, Jáen, Córdoba and Sevilla. Finish the program with a weekend-long total immersion homestay with a Spanish family in Madrid.

What’s included

Roundtrip Airfare
We include roundtrip airfare with reputable airlines to and from group's departure city.

Travel insurance
Live ‘n Learn will provide all participants with travel medical insurance up to $100,000 with NO deductible. See more information about medical insurance here.

Airport pick-up and drop-off
Upon arrival you will meet your Live ‘n Learn Program Director, who will accompany your group to the hotel by motorcoach.

5 nights in 3 or 4-star hotels, breakfast and dinner included
We guarantee a pleasant and clean stay at a safe and centrally-located hotel. Students will share a room with one to three other travelers of the same gender. You will eat breakfast at the hotel and dinner at local restaurants where you'll be able to try tasty and authentic Spanish cuisine.

3 nights with a Spanish family, all meals included
Students should bring spending money in case they choose to eat at a restaurant, do activities outside the house or go shopping.

24 hr/day Live ‘n Learn Program Director and emergency contact
Your Program Director will be traveling and staying with you at all times, except during free time, in which case they will be in the area and accessible by phone.

Additional guides in most cities during tour
We hire specialized guides in most cities in order to get more in-depth information from a local expert.

All entrance fees
Your Live ‘n Learn Program Director will be in charge of paying for and picking up all tickets in order to minimize wait time and ensure that things run smoothly.

Transportation during tour
Your group will travel around each city and between destinations by private motorcoach, high speed trains and public transportation. Depending on group size you will travel alone or with other school groups.

Live ‘n Learn t-shirt and luggage tags
Luggage tags are to be placed on checked suitcases and carry-ons in order to distinguish your luggage.

Pre-departure preparation materials
Live ‘n Learn will provide teachers with packets on the Spanish language, customs and culture and other useful information to be reviewed with students before departure.

Spending money
Spending money is recommended for free time and shopping.

Tips
Tips for bus drivers, tour guides and directors will be $5 a day during the travel portion of the trip ($35). Cash must be submitted to Group Leader before departure.

Payment Plan Options

1. Automatic Payment Plan
After your initial online deposit we will divide your total program balance into monthly installments and automatically process your payments each month through Pay Simple, our secure online payment system. We will use the account information from your deposit and payments will be deducted from your bank account each month. Program must be paid in full 45 days before departure. 2. Manual Payment Plan
After your initial online deposit you must submit a payment of $500 before November 15. Full payment must be made 90 days before departure. All payments must be paid in the form of an E-check via our website. Checks or money orders may be used upon request. Make online payments here.

LATE AND MISSING PAYMENTS (Manual Payment Plan only)

There will be a $50 late fee for failure to submit $500 payment by November 15 and a $150 late fee for failure to pay in full by the deadline. Live ‘n Learn reserves the right to cancel individual participant's registration if full payment is not received 60 days prior to the trip . Cancellation fees will apply.

CANCELLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Participant or participant’s parent/guardian must submit cancellation request to Live ‘n Learn in writing by email to info@livenlearn.com. Please clearly indicate participant’s name, school and program name.

INVOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS

Live ‘n Learn may cancel a participant due to lack of payment or failure to abide by teacher’s rules/standards. Cancellation fees will be assessed in these cases.

RE-ENROLLMENT

Based on availability, cancelled participants may re-enroll by submitting any missing payments plus a $50 fee and any applicable changes in airline costs. Payment must be made by cashier’s check or money order.

CANCELLATION INSURANCE

Cancellation insurance may be purchased from to cover any unforeseen event before travel date and in such case a full or partial refund will be provided. It also provides you with full or partial refunds to travel delay, baggage delay and trip interruption. See more policy details here.
Day 1
Travel to Spain!

Day 2
Arrive in Madrid and take a private charter bus to Granada to explore the capital of the last standing Moorish kingdom in Spain.

Day 3
Tour the impressive Alhambra Palace built in the 13th century. Eat dinner like a Spaniard by doing a “tapa hop” around the city and enjoy a unique flamenco performance.

Day 4
Travel to nearby Jaén in the land of the olive groves. Attend a cooking class by renowned chefs to learn how to cook (and eat) traditional comida española. Later visit a local olive oil producer to taste and learn about Spanish oil.

Day 5
Stop by Córdoba and learn about the Roman, Moorish and Catholic history as you explore the Mezquita and stroll through the courtyards of the city. Continue on to Sevilla to enjoy the evening.

Day 6
Stroll through Sevilla’s old town to relive more of the history and culture of Spain’s fascinating past. Visit the cathedral, Alcázar and other important monuments.

Day 7
Spend the morning in Sevilla and after lunch take the high-speed train to Madrid where you’ll begin your homestay with a familia española. 

Days 8-9
Enjoy the authentic experience of living like a Spanish teenager as your family welcomes you into their home while showing you Madrid and the Spanish way of life.

Day 10
¡Adios España! Fly back to the U.S.
