Tour Itinerary
Day 1: San José
¡Bienvenidos a Costa Rica! Discover San José, better known as “Chepe” and immerse yourself in the essence of “la pura vida”.
Day 2: Arenal
Travel to Sarchí, the cradle of arts and crafts in Costa Rica, to visit an art school and make colorful and intricate paintings. For lunch, learn how to make homemade tortillas and dine on traditional Costa Rican cuisine prepared over wood-fired stoves. End the day in La Fortuna and enjoy life surrounded by the magic of the rainforest.
Day 3: Arenal
Participate in a hands-on tour of an eco-touristic farm. Later, take a dip in the spectacular waterfall in the region, Catarata de La Fortuna. Finish the day with a relaxing experience of thermal baths that come straight from the volcano themselves.
Day 4: Arenal
Visit a local school and spend time learning from students your age and help their school with a service project. Travel to Lake Arenal for a kayaking excursion, taking in the beauty of CR’s landscape. In the evening, experience the “Tico hospitality” as you dine in a Costa Rican home, tasting delicious traditional dishes.
Day 5: Guanacaste
Explore the “Villa de los Malekus” to see how one of the seven original indigenous communities still lives today. Continue on to Guanacaste, known as a “blue zone”, one of five places in the world where people live the longest and are the healthiest.
Day 6: Guanacaste
Venture through the foothills of Rincon de la Vieja volcano to begin an adrenaline packed day, ziplining over the trees and on a 450 foot-long river-fed waterslide. Later, learn how to dance salsa, merengue, and bachata from the professionals.
Day 7: Guanacaste
Take a boat tour, making stops along the way for snorkeling and strolling on the beaches of the Bahía de Papagayo. Later, help the local community by doing a beach clean-up to protect their coastline. Finish the day with a sunset dinner on the water.
Day 8: Palo Verde / San José
Visit Palo Verde, one of the most important national parks in the nation,. Take a river cruise for the best science class of your life, hopefully seeing crocodiles, monkeys, and more.
Day 9: Poás Volcano / Alsacia
Hike to Poás Volcano, one of the largest volcanic craters in the world. Later, visit STARBUCKS’ first and only coffee farm and sip on a delicious cup of coffee. Get fancy for a farewell dinner with views, overlooking the vast Costa Rican central valley.
Day 10: ¡Adios Costa Rica! Fly back home
