All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Live N Learn by email (info@livenlearn.com). Please indicate the participant’s name, school and program name. Our refund policy is as follows:

60 to 89 days……………….All payments less $1,200

30 to 59 days……………….Determined on a case by case basis

30 days or less……………..No refund

Live N Learn’s cancellation policy will apply in case of cancellation, but we offer the option to purchase a Trip Cancellation Insurance from ITravelInsured. The Travel LX plan will refund you 100% of cancelled trip due to: emergency illness; injury or death to you, a family member or travel companion; financial default; a terrorist incident; jury duty; home made uninhabitable by fire, wind, storm flood or vandalism; quarantine; auto accident on way to airport; job termination; cancelled leave for active duty military, police or firefighters. It will refund you 75% of program cost if you decide to cancel or the trip is cancelled for any other reason not specified above.

When registering for your trip,  there will be a section for Allergies/Dietary Restrictions where you can enter your child’s dietary needs. Once made aware of dietary restrictions, Live N Learn will send that information to all of the restaurants your child will visit during the trip as well as to the host family. Our dining partners are fully equipped to deal with food allergies. Your child should also remind their Group Leader and Tour Director of any allergies while on tour.

Live N Learn is dedicated to making travel widely accessible, regardless of ability or disability. Our trips do involve walking long distances, climbing stairs and transporting luggage. We kindly request to be informed of a student’s needs before registering so that we can discuss with the student’s family and Group Leader about the trip itinerary and the possibility of accommodations.

In the case that a student would need to seek medical treatment, one of the Group Leaders, the Live N Learn Tour Director and/or the host family  will accompany the child to the nearest hospital. Minor expenses will be covered out of pocket by the student and a claim must be made upon return to the U.S. and all expenses will be refunded. Any major incident requiring hospitalization or surgery will be pre-authorized by the insurance company and there will be no out-of-pocket expenses. Live N Learn provides participants with a comprehensive insurance policy that covers up to $100,000 and has no deductible. For more information on the insurance policy, click here.

Live N Learn should be notified before departure of any conditions that require medications, but the individual student will be in charge of their own medications. 

We recommend that students bring around 100-200 euros for smaller things they would like to purchase (water, ice cream, souvenirs, etc.) as some places in Spain will not accept cards. We also suggest that students bring a debit or credit card that they can use for any higher priced shopping they choose to do.

All participants are permitted to bring one large suitcase and one carry-on. Keep in mind when choosing a suitcase that you will be carrying your luggage through airports and hotels and getting on and off busses. Please check the baggage regulations on the airline’s website and the TSA website before you pack. Before departure, Live N Learn will also review the weather of the destination country, suggested attire and other important things to consider while packing.
