Day 1: Fly to Málaga, Spain
Day 2: Málaga
Arrive in Málaga, a modern yet historical city on the Costa del Sol. Explore the city during a fun, interactive bike tour challenge and end the day with a Welcome Dinner.
Day 3: Nerja / Málaga
Visit the majestic caves and beautiful beaches of Nerja, a coastal village located on the Mediterranean Sea at the foothills of the Sierra de Almijara mountains.
Day 4: Córdoba / Sevilla
Learn about Roman, Moorish and Catholic history as you explore the mezquita (ancient mosque turned cathedral) and stroll through the courtyards of Córdoba and continue on to nearby Sevilla.
Day 5: Sevilla
Discover Spain’s fascinating past in Sevilla as you cruise on a Segway around the city, visit the immense Gothic cathedral and explore the Alcázar, one of the oldest European palaces still in use today.
Day 6: Mérida / Cáceres
Travel to the World Heritage City of Mérida, home to dozens of Roman ruins. Later journey on to Cáceres, another one of Spain’s most beautiful cities where you’ll learn how to make cheese.
Day 7: Plasencia / Salamanca
Stop by the walled city of Plasencia on the way to Salamanca, host to the oldest university in the country which is considered amongst the most beautiful in the world.
Day 8: Salamanca / Begin Homestay
Compete against your classmates in an interactive scavenger hunt around Spain’s “Golden City.” After lunch, travel to Madrid to meet your familia española!
Days 9-18: Homestay in Madrid
Enjoy the authentic experience of living like a Spanish teenager as your family welcomes you into their home while showing you Madrid and the Spanish way of life.
Day 19: ¡Adios España!
