Our mission is to create a meaningful immersion experience that will change the way students see, think and feel about foreign language and culture. We believe the only way to truly LEARN the language and culture of another country is to LIVE it. That’s why we designed our programs to give students and teachers the opportunity to be truly immersed in the local culture and lifestyle of the country that they’re in. We hope that our host family programs will enable families to learn about another culture while sharing their own and create lifelong friendships across borders. Our goal for each student and family that travels or hosts is to awaken their curiosity about other countries and cultures, expand their understanding of the world and inspire them to become global citizens. Together, we journey on a life-changing experience and create friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
DIRECTOR OF U.S. OPERATIONS
Robin, a Cincinnati, Ohio native, had her first immersion experience in Spain at 18 and has been hooked on traveling and studying Spanish ever since. After traveling and living with a Spanish host family, she decided to study Spanish, International Studies and Business at the Ohio State University. While in college she studied abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico and Granada, Spain, and after graduating she moved to Madrid where she earned her Master’s degree at the Universidad de Alcala de Henares. She taught English in Madrid for four years and was awarded “English Teacher of the Year” out of all native English teachers working in the city’s Catholic schools. During her time in Madrid, she immersed herself in the local culture, perfected her Spanish and started pursuing her dream to start her own educational travel company. Participating in multiple programs abroad and living in Spain has given Robin the necessary tools and experience to create Live ‘n Learn.
