Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Paris 

Days 2 – 12: Homestay

Arrive in France and head straight to the Palace of Versailles, the luxurious royal residence built in the 17th century. After school, meet your host family and enjoy the authentic experience of living like a French teenager in the Paris region as your family welcomes you into their home and shows you the French way of life.

Day 13: Avignon

Take the train to Avignon, the gateway to Provence, and explore its fairy-tale-like charm. Walk around the city known for its “Palace of the Popes”, the largest surviving Gothic palace from which seven popes ruled in the 14th century.

Day 14: Avignon / Village Tour

Take a journey through the French countryside, along the way stopping by some quaint villages off the beaten path.

Day 15: Avignon / Pont du Gard

Indulge yourself during a gourmet food walking tour, tasting the city’s delicious specialities and discovering its winding alleyways full of fun shops and artisans. Later, kayak down the lovely Gardon River and under a Roman aqueduct as you take in the picturesque surroundings and rolling hillsides.

Day 16: Marseilles / Les Calanques

Travel to Marseille, a port town nestled on the coast, which has blossomed into a destination for lovers of art and culture. Check out the Mucem – Museum of Civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean. Take a boat ride and visit the “calques” lining the Mediterranean coast.

Day 17: Avignon / Paris

Learn how to make authentic French cuisine in a hands-on cooking class. Travel to Paris and meander through the cobblestoned streets of the trendy Les Marais district. See the Notre Dame and explore the vibrancy of the Latin Quarter.

Day 18: Paris

See the city in a unique way, on a hop-on/hop-off boat on the Seine river. Soak up the spirit of French fashion at La Galerie Dior and discover all the true secrets of the magical world of haute couture. End the day enjoying the sunset by the Eiffel Tower, waiting for it to light up the night sky.

Day 19: Au revoir France! Fly back to the U.S.
